Many companies rely on current clients to keep their sales going. You must commit a specific amount of time to look for new business opportunities whether it's within a current account or a completely new company. How much time are you prepared to commit to prospecting for new business?  Start off slow, even 1 hour a week.  Keep track of your results then build from there.

2. Think outside the box! "pensare in modo creativo"!
My consigliere's and I meet together to brainstorm and think of new industries we can target for our products & services. This helps my company consistently exceed our sales goals. What new industries or markets can you target and go after in full force?
